We specialise in courses for schools, youth groups, Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates, adults and business groups. Every course is tailored to produce the very best from each group. The centre is open 7 days a week all year round. The courses vary in length from 1 day to 5 days and can be tailor-made to meet the needs of your group.
We are pleased to have Doug Scott CBE as our patron. Doug has been a school teacher; he is one of the foremost high altitude mountaineers of our time; he has established a trust which provides schools and teachers in Nepal. The centre supports his work.
We provide training and assessment courses for group leaders to gain relevant qualifications in a whole range of activities and there are opportunities to gain experience within national and local training schemes.
We also cater for adults with our open activity weekends, family fun weekends, skills training courses (mountain walking, rock climbing, caving, kayaking and canoeing), management training and team development courses.
There has been continuous development to a high standard. The centre is now one of the most respected outdoor education centres in the country and the British system of Outdoor Education is the envy of the world.
