Caving

Wet, uncomfortable, dirty and fantastic. We love it!

Caving, for many, means facing fear of the unknown, fears within and a reluctance to venture outside the comfort zone of what us known and understood. Go for it! Discover a whole new hidden world and a superb group activity.

Marvel at huge caverns and underground rivers, then grab your mates by the muddy boots to help them through the next tight squeeze. And don’t worry about size or shape, if you don’t fit through the small bits there’s always another way round!

Who can go caving?

Anyone! Caving is an adventurous activity that is suitable for everyone. Due to the huge amount of caves in the South Wales region our trips can be adapted to the nature of the group, depending on age and size of the participants.

Where do we cave?

The vast majority of our caving trips take place in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The caves we use most often are Porth Yr Ogof ('Entrance Cave') and Ogof Clogwyn ('Cliff Cave'). These caves are common with beginners with lots of different challenges, slides, squeezes, crawls and climbs and well as huge chambers and passages.

Depending on the group our experienced instructional team can take groups to more challenging caves such as; White Lady, Bridge Cave, Ogof Y Ci, Eglwys Faen and many others in the National Park.

Will I need any specialist equipment?

No. We will provide you will all the equipment you need to go underground. A caving suit to protect all your own clothes, a belt, a helmet, special caving wellies and most importantly, a light.
