You can't beat the mountains for beauty, a sense of wilderness, a feeling of being dependent on the rest of your group and your own resources and decisions.
Some relish the effort of the climb more than others, but all can share in the success of the summit, the spectacular views, and perhaps the knowledge that those who found it easy did a good job of helping those who didn't. |

There is time to chat, time to learn, time to reflect that it feels good to reach your goal, even if there were times when you might have given up.
Who can go walking?
Anyone! We can tailor the walk to suit both adult and school groups. With adult groups we might walk further in a day and bag more peaks. With a younger group we can take things slower and focus more on the landscapes, flora and fauna and the scenery and make getting to the top of a mountain extra special.
Where do we walk?
We are lucky to have the Black Mountains right on our door step. We can walk out from the centre and be on the Offa’s Dyke path within an hour.
With a short drive we can be in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park and walking up the highest mountain in South Wales, Pen Y Fan.
You might choose to stay lower down in the valley and do a forest walk in the Mynydd Du Forest. We can build a shelter using things found in the forest, look and paddle in the river and seek out lots of different types of flora and fauna.
Will I need any specialist equipment?
We can provide you with walking boots, waterproofs, a rucksack, lunch and a drink. If you wish to use your own equipment feel free to bring it along.
