Our courses support the National Curriculum for year group three upwards and achieve a broad range of Every Child Matters criteria.
We can accommodate up to 57 people including accompanying staff/ leaders in comfortable family sized rooms. |

Courses are usually either five days, Monday to Friday, or weekends, but we can be very flexible.
Everything is included in the price for your stay. It isn't necessary to bring any specialist equipment.
We are able to offer challenging work experience placements for up to 3 students at a time.
Our one week courses meet the requirements of the residential project for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
Longtown Bursary
Due to the continued generous support of the Wilson Foundation the centre is able to offer bursary support to those young people from Northamptonshire aged between 10 and 21 who would not otherwise be able to afford to attend courses at the centre.
The bursary funding of up to £100 per student or 50% of Longtown course fees (whichever is less) is applied for on a simple 2-page form obtainable from the school or youth organisation's Visit Leader.

The completed forms must be endorsed by the Visit Leader prior to submission to the centre.
There is also some Bursary Funding available from different sources for schools and young people from outside Northamptonshire. Contact us for more information.
Special Needs
We also offer courses for groups with Special Needs – where everyone is challenged and has the opportunity to develop and succeed, and run courses for youth activity groups at weekends and during the school holidays.
The centre now has DDA compliant accommodation and is experienced at developing exciting programmes that allow for maximum engagement and inclusion.
Teacher Taster weekends
Throughout the year, we also run activity weekends specifically designed for teachers. This allows them an insight to the centre before they attend a future booking with their school or helps to put their mind at rest before they commit to a booking
